OT- Hibernation Problem plz help

Hi folks,

I searched internet high and low but I couldn't find a solution to this problem.

How to enable Hibernation/Standby on PC?

When I click on shutdown the Standby is greyed out holding shift key or pressing "H" can't go system to hibernatation as well.

Although device manager shows that it's an ACPI Uniprocessor PC, when I go to Control Panel>Power Options, there's no Hibernation tab.

 

In BIOS I can't find "enable ACPI" , instead I'm using USER DEFINED power management.

 

AMD Athlon xp1800+/ASUS A7V333 (KT333 chipset) latest BIOS/GeForce3 (detonator 61.77)/ Standard PS/2 Keyboard (no special driver)

 

If it's a bad driver(s) causing hibernation not showing up how can I find it?

We have some big models and using Hibernation is inevitable.

Forgot to say, I checked "Show hidden devices" in device manager and there's no disabled or bad deivce.

Only Batch mode can help but not always. We're not using UPS and workshop has electrical problems recently. The guy keeps telling us to turn your pcs off or on.

In the BIOS, can you switch to S3 for power management?

It's AWARD v6

the settings are as follows:

 

power management: USER DEFINED

video off option: suspend_>off

video off method: DPMS OFF

HDD Power Down: 10 min

Suspend Mode: 8 min

PWR Button<4 sec soft off

And user defined can't be changed? Do you have the latest firmware for your mobo?

I can change to max/min saving and disabled.

If I change it to max saving it just reduces suspend mode or hdd power down time. I didn't notice any other change.

I flashed latest BIOS (1017) for this mobo.

Bullines, we ran Sisoft Sandra and here's part of the report about APM/ACPI.

There's an S5 in front of Supported S(leep) States. Is that what you wanted to know?

Besides it says Hibernate not supported. long ago it could.

In Bios->power management ->ACPI sleep time :Do you have something like S3(str)

We just made it. Uninstalling windows was the solution. So we're almost sure that a driver prevented it from hibernation.

Now SiSoft Sandra shows this
