File location questions.

Im trying to organize my jobs by Customer folder with Sub folders for each of their machined parts. And, I store the mc8, .nci, .nc, and .doc

all in the same part folder.

The easiest way I have found to do this to start the job by resetting all the file paths for these extensions in (configure/files) to the new job part folder.

Is there some way that these files will just default their location to the mc8 folder I create? Or some easier way to handle this?

The easies thing for you to do is to go to screen, configure, start exit tab. Set the startup C-hook to setdirs.dll.

When you start Mastercam it will prompt you as to what directory to set all the paths to.

You can also use it on the fly by pressing Alt-C and picking setdirs.dll
