MPBOSTO Post Question

Good Morning. I am trying to get my post to recognize “Misc. Real [10]” (under Misc. Values…)

As I look in the NCI file, I see that it is line “1011” that comes through with the value, when I set it in the operation.

I have this set to a particular number (i.e. 25) that I would like the post to interpret as my Feed Rate, no matter what the feed rate is from the tool that I pick, for this particular operation ONLY.

I know this might sound a little weird, but it is something I would like to have, for a specific type of operation that I do. Yes, I could change the feed by hand, but that involves human error multiple times. I can set up a template op once (with this value already set), then use it, and have the post do the thinking for me, and never have to think about it again.

This is on a Flowline Op that is ALWAYS my last operation of a job. I want the post to recognize the feed rate from any previous ops as what is inherited from the tool, but then once it encounters Misc. Real [10] as being anything else but “0”, it would set the feedrate the this value, and post the feedrate change into my code file.

As I said this is ALWAYS the last op, but nothing is ALWAYS the same, so I would like to also build the logic in to recognize that if the Misc. Real [10] gets set back “0”, then the post would return to using the tools feedrate instead of the Misc. Real [10] value.

Make sense?!?!?

I have VERY LITTLE experience with writing or editing posts, so treat this like I speak a different language than you, ‘cause I do.

Thanks

Happy Friday

(Yeah, I know it’s Thursday for the rest of the world, but I have tomorrow off…..)
