as long as that spindle speed call up is before the feed lines you want it to change at , it will change to this rpm and continue on.if it is a spindle change in a process and the spindle has been started at the beginning of this process with an m3 code all you have to have is a spindle speed all up (S####) and it will go to the desired change .

As far as I know, nothing that you post, short of a long dwell, will insure the machine reaches speed before moving. Most machine tools have a parameter setting to 'wait for spindle speed answer' that will hold the machine's position until the spindle says 'OK, I'm ready'. If your machine is not doing this you should break out the parameter book and have a look

+1 Chris.

Everytime I program a spindle change. The machine waits for the r.p.m. to accomplish the programmed speed. If your next parameter has a spindle adjustment, you should just need a S+000. You could put an M03 no need to though. rtfaq.gif
