where have all the c hooks gone?

I just reloaded 8.1.1, and now my chooks are gone!!.....Does anyone know where they might have run off to??

Are you certain that you don't have the Hide protected operating system files setting disabled or the Do not show hidden files and folders setting enabled?

In your "explorer": View - Options - Choose "Show All Files".

They're Windows settings. So in, say Win2K, you could find it while in Windows Explorer (Windows 9x and NT are similar). In a Windows Explorer window, do the following:

1. Tools | Folder Options to display the Folder Options dialog

2. Click on the View tab in the Folder Options Dialog

3. Scroll down the list box and look for the settings I mentioned in my post above.
