killing error messages??????

"Work offset number already used for a different view defined in operation"

 

I know this, why does it have to tell me everytime I open T/C plane. I want to have 1000 different views on the same offset ,thats my intention. This warning is a big pain in the xxxx......an extra 10 or so clicks for every op

 

IS there any way to turn this OFF??

Check "job setup"

uncheck "warn of duplicate tool numbers"

Jeff, he's talking WOFS numbers, not tool numbers; I don't think that setting affects this

Nope, that check box does not affect the posting system, which is where the warning is coming from. This has been a big topic of discussion with Mastercam and the Post Dept. Hopefully that will change in X.

 

I think we need a check box in config to allow the user to default MC not to warn. All indexing and multi-axis users would turn this off, but basic 2D users would leave the warning on in case they accidentally get something in the wrong plane.

Just checked in X and it does not issue that warning.

There's a few errors that I get for each operation during regen or what ever. I set a 3/4" EM on the ESC key and go for coffee.

If this problem has been fixed in X then I will just wait......and wait............and wait.............for X to arrive in my mailbox.
