Trying to get back with you on the communications problem. I tried the set-up you e-mailed me for the AB 8601. With the same cable config. I tried to receive a program at the controller. I set the parameter in the fcrsys/mp0 file to 1200 baud. typed cop,/ty0,prog on the job page at the controller. I received part of the program,but mostly ? characters and this was if I used (DIS,"CODICE=PRGTEST"). I need to know exactly how the header of the program should look, also how the port,receive,transmit set-up pages are configured in cimco.

The header does not matter. The file is just a text file on the control's hard drive.

The "?"'s are characters the control doesn't reconise.

 

In cimco dnc setup:

baud 1200

data bits 7

even parity

and stop bits = 1 (?If its 1 now try 2)

 

If that doesn't work lemme know and I'll check with another customer to see what their fcrsys file looks like and cimco. and also cable config.

 

Also make sure you have fifo turned off on com port.
