Progamming w axis in Mastercam

I am working on setting up a Post for a 4 axis Mitz horizontal, rotary table, with 520 Meldas control(Fanuc based). Post is almost ready to go, but have been wondering about extending the w axis (spindle) during some ops in some progams that we run now. What is the best way to do this? Is it possible to get the post to output an offset for the z axis when the w is extended. I want to try and avoid editing the program manually if possible. I have thought about using a G52 to offset the zero point of the program for the extended w axis & resetting back when the spindle is not extended. Any thoughts anyone?
