Dynapath subroutines

I have been creating files too big for the machine control.

Autocon/Hurco wants big bucks for dnc option.

Is there anyone out there running a dynapath post that has been modified to work with subs?

what control is it? 50's and up have a buffered imput that i've run programs in the millions of k with. without dnc

The control is a 40.

The buffered input is not installed.

We have 8 machines with this control.

I figured it would be easier to do subroutines then install the buffered input in each machine. $$$$$$

You may want to check out the Section.dll C-Hook to break up a large file into numerous smaller files based on file size.

I gave it a try, and i'll keep it in mind as a last ditch effort.

It might cause the operator to go bonkers with always having to load another file to finish the run. Especially if there are alot of runs to finish the job.

Looks like the call to the sub - what does the sub itself look like?

Your right, this is the call to the sub.

The subroutine function on DynaPath uses first and last lines.

So in this example it tells the control to use line N0011 thru N0020.

It doesnt use GOTO commands or M98, M99.

Just first and last.

This subroutine can be placed any where in the program, even after the M30 command.

Looks more like subroutines then, rather the subprograms, which doesn't follow what's laid out in the post, because you have to track sequence numbers like in Lathe canned/repetitive cycles. The complexity of the post (and the associated development costs) goes up.

Hi Rory, we use the dynapath 40s and 50s.

out of curiousity do you have floppy drives

on the machines? if you do, you can type

"RS232C" in to your program catalog, then go to selection 8 "transmit recieve" select

S2 for floppy and T4 for control, then select the program from the floppy.

We run big programs also but i have never tried to use the subs in mastercam. You can contact me if you want. Chad Fisher 614 424 7467

chad dynapath can have a floppy drive/ but it will not run directly off the floppy without the bufferd input option

Yes the dreaded Dynapath subroutine I know it well I have created a few what a drag. If you get a post working let me know about the cost it may be worth it.
