surface error from cutter to cutter

Need knowledge!

I had surfaced a form block.Generated all programs.Rough,Semi,finish. The finish was with a 5/16 ball nose.After checking the block one face was out of position .030"(to much had come off of course!).I checked the program ran the stl. compare but nothing showed up. The only way I had found out was by trying a 1/4" ball nose.All female rads were larger than 5/32.

Anyone come accross this?

This might be silly but check all surface normals see that they are the same.

That's not suppose to play a factor anymore! Now that being said, I still analyze and set all my surface normals. Just old habits never being broke, I guess!!!

Yea force of habit but the first thing i do is set all norms and all surface norms are the same.

One thing that might ??? posibly be an issue is whether you are cutting to the tip or center of the ball and raising by the rad. I remember years ago getting totally different output.

Well the second thing you need to do is put a copy of the file on the FTP so we can check the surfaces.

Or so I can run a path across it then run the gcode thru verification.

so i can see what is happen.
