Video card and MC8

Hello all,

I now have a new system and with it came new problems.

Intel PentIII, 256ram, pc133.

Video card: ATI Fury Pro 32mb.

Windows ME

I installed MC8 and:

Zoom, Arrow keys panning, fit screen, gviews, etc., DO NOT WORK.

Is it the Video card?

Fortunately the old computer is still up.

All advice appreciated.

Delete OPENGL32.DLL and GLU32.DLL from the MCAM8 directory and you will be fine. These .DLL are only installed on WIN9X systems and they seem to confict with ATI's drivers

I had the same problem with the Gview, but I'am using Windows 98. Deleting the two files mentioned took care of the problem even with the older operating system.

Heres another one for ATI Rage users, there is a patch for DirectX Ver 7.0 to Ver 7.0a. I could never update my ATI drivers and have Mastercam work properly until I uploaded the patch. I would have mouse, shade and printer problems if I attempted to use any Ati driver updates later than June 1999. Don't forget that most Rage updated drivers require DirectX Ver7.0. Go to /directX/setup/dxdiag to get the screen that tells you the version you have.
