Hi!

I used rolldie function to create toolpath

for die. In rolldie.doc, it list "When a tapered

tool is used, the tool can run up and down the crease formed at hte intersection of two walls at an inside sharp corner". But I use tapered tool, the tool can't run up and down in inside corner. Even the tool overcut in inside corner.

I am use V9.1 mr0105

Any suggestions gratefully accepted

The rolldie.doc list as follow:

C-Hook Name: rolldie.dll/.txt

Date: June 18, 1998

Programmer: CNC Software, Inc.

Description:

The roll die c-hook creates toolpaths around a rotary axis. The toolpath can

be rounded or squared on outside sharp corners. When a tapered tool is used,

the tool can run up and down the crease formed at the intersection of two

walls at an inside sharp corner. Inside sharp corners with non-tapered tools

are not handled and will eventually give an error.

The chained entities selected to create the toolpath can be in the flat or

already rolled. The resultant toolpath is normally 5-axis tool vectors around

a rotary axis but provision has been made to produce a 3-axis toolpath from

flat input in the case where a tapered tool is used.

In fact, I use tapered tool for contour toolpath. But tool have to run up/down in inside sharp corner for clean corner.
