Right angle milling heads

Is anyone using right angle mill heads on their VMC's? I know someone is; we are looking to purchase one but would like some feedback as to whats what on them.

We have some info on Ekstrom,Carlson heads, but are told they are made to order, and probably would not get a chance to play with one before we purchased it. Also, they dont have salesmen out and about to bring one in and even look at it. Could anyone pass on some hard luck experience on this subject?

We hava couple ogright angle heads from Lyndex that are running in one of our Fadals right now. They are milling a .730 dia on the ends of some tubes that we rub 8 at a time. The work fine for very light cuts. Try this link:

Lyndex makes a good one and I've used them plenty, even on HMC. I really like these ones though from Big Kaiser. I'm using one right now that uses the NBC collets with a little baby tool taper that the operator changes (the machine its on won't tool change the angle head). Its running 7 tools doing drilling, milling and threading. Cool stuff, and plenty stout too.

Also try Command tool. Dozens of choices in their new catalog (not on their web site yet).

You can get in some tight places with them.
