XForm, Translate, Between Views is another way to accomplish rotating parts into view for machining.

Typically parts designed in a package such as Solid Works will come into Mastercam with the front view actually being the top of the part. This has more to do with how the part was oriented for design. So if the from view was what you wanted to be the top, tou would go, Xform, Translate, Between Vws. Source Plane would be Front, Destination View, would be Top. You then need to specify where you want your origin on the part to be the origin in space, or any given coordinate for that matter. If you do this in 3D Construction Plane it will actually move in Z, otherwise it will only move in X and Y.

Hope that helps,
