V9 not working with X!!!!!

Has anyone else had this problem?

A few days after I installed X on my 'puter

V9 started to give me problems.

V9 will open fine, converts iges and pro-e files fine, but when you go to "file-get" it freezes up, but if I double click an existing MC9 file in explorer it will open fine.

It looks like file-get & file-save are not working properly.

The first couple days I had X I had both X and V9 up and working fine. What happened??

I havn't had this problem,but my levels dialouge box (in9) looks funny now....

My file get does not work either. i have to doubleclick a file to open it. I have v9, have not installed version x at all.

 

also my levels starte dissapearing from drawings after i use the verify command.

yeah, my levels manager looks like leopard skin after installing X. Every second row has a gray background.

For the file get problem, try finding a program that came with mastercam 9 called "CNC Reg" open that program and change the "file get dialog box" option to "standard windows" instead of "mastercam" and see if that works.

 

Be shure that you have "v9 mill" set as the "installed product" when you make the change.

 

I found the program under start menu-programs-mastercam9.1

MCX has the "feature" of a candy striped levels manager. V9 uses some of the same files that X does, so after you install X, you'll see the striped look in V9 also. Currently, there is no way to turn it off.
