Lets say i have 4 vices on a fadal pallet changing machine each vice is labeled e1 thru e4. If i drill a hole on each part sterting at e1 and ending up on e4. after drilling i need to chamfer the hole so mastercam wants to start at e1 but i would like to know if there is a way to get mastercam to count backwards and start at e4 and end up on e1. Has anybody done this? cheers.gif

I think the only way to accomplish this is to do it tool by tool.

You could pick your first set of geometry and translate the tool. Then pick your second set of geometry and translate them the opposite way.

In this manner I could see you being able to work back and forth.

I don't think there is a way to reverse the "E" order of the work offsets from within a translate.

Tim,

I've got 2 Fadal's on my floor that are not going anywhere soon(grrrrrrr).

Could you elaborate on how the Fadal macro will do this? As we use these machines mainly for +/- .005 production work a timesaver is always appreciated.

Thanks

John,

Click here for the way to change your post. Note that this is for version 9 (not received X yet)

Basicly, you set the variables in v41 and v42 in your machine control to your first and last offsets (v41=1 and v42=2 thru 48). In your MC9 file you program only one part using mi1 to control the direction of the macro. (first to last offset or last to first)
