Multiple WCS

Ok I have started useing multiple wcs for different faces of a part in order to get a good verify on all faces. If there are operations in the first setup that I want to use in the second setup how do I copy the operations using another WCS.

I usually just copy it and then change to a new wcs. inside the operation there is a tool path parameters page go to planes and change it to the new wcs that you want

The way I do it is program the first and second op, then verify the 1st op using the 2nd op WCS and the stock you want then save the result as an stl file. When you verify the 2nd op pull the stl file in and use it a stock.

 

For multiple ops I always verify the previous op with the current WCS.

 

Thats in V9, haven't dug too deep in X yet so I don't know if it'll work exactly the same way.

Copy the op, then click the planes button in the new op and make the necessary changes.
