no matching opfile

I created 2 solids and when I try to merge the files together i get no matching opfile error

 

Update...it also does it when I just try to merge a solid into another new file..

THey do merge though, correct?

 

I have seen the error before. It's as if its expecting a toolpath file to be loaded. I think it has something to do with a solid tree being similar to an operation tree. Probably the way the software was written.

Nope, only the parent spline used to make the solid comes in.

 

I have no toolpaths, but I do have the machine definition defaulted on to a certain def

You are using file merge/pattern right?

 

You can send me the 2 solid files I can take a look if you'd like.

Yes but I deleted the 2 solids and when I recreated them out of the same set of curves, they merged just fine.

 

Sorry again guys....I can't tell if I am finding bugs or getting hardware glitches. I can't believe it's all in my hardware...

Maybe something was wrong with the original solid. I've gotten that no matching opfile before. I had to go back into the solids manager and regen my solid and everything was fine.

I have have gotten this 2 times in the last few weeks.

 

In the first instance I think I inadvertanly deleting a peice of my geo that drove the solid.

 

I am not certain that was the case though. I went back to a copy of the file I saved the day before and never had the problem in that file again.

 

The second time I was trying to open a file that was created on another PC in X SP1 before I loaded the update on my PC. I downloaded SP1 and the error went away.
