Mastercam X HTML Setup Sheet Trial

Installed the trial.

Copied the html.set and html.psb to the network dir where my posts are.

Opened an existing part, edited the CD to use the network .set file.

I get the error "Installation Problem - Program Will Exit".

Any ideas? I'll try a reboot for ha-has.

Dave,

Yes, problem one has been corrected.

I do have permission to create directories. The application may not be able to though. Mastercam won't even create, or ask approval to create for that matter, a sub-directory if I specify one that doesn't exist in the Toolpath Name dialog. I have to browse and create it manually.

What is the "EMF big image"?

Hi Bullines!

Here's a better question, if I already saved my mcx file, and already posted my nc file, what directory is left to create?

I also noticed that the html file gets saved to my mcx file dir. Normally with the doc (mill, mill2.set) files, they go into the nc directory from the Toolpath Name dialog. I didn't dig past the sroot line of the .set file, but I will.

Pretty cool stuff!

Thanks again.

In X, the MCX rules. You could have multiple Machine Groups with multple NC destinations.

When you create a setup sheet, by default it uses the NC path and filename of the ops by your Red Arrow.

We're taking that file, and renaming it to reside with your MCX, named the same. We're all like MCX-centric now, which was a decision we didn't come to lightly. As a quick example - how do you get the name of your NC file and path now in X VBS? You can't, but you can get the MCX path and name.

But I can create a dir. How/where does the software attempt to create the dir?

Does it look for the mcx file's in the native install mcx directories?

Can it do in a subdirectory of a subdirectory?

Forget all that, I have the image subdir in the mcx files dir.

But...

Why does the EMF work but not the png or gif?

... is still up for grabs.

I downloaded the HTML file from Mastercam.

Put the files in where my posts are.

quote:

1. Run the .exe file to install to your root Mastercam directory

(e.g. C:Mcamx).

2. Modify your Control Definitions to output parameter information

such as 'stock left' by enabling the 'Write NC Operation information'

check box under the NC parameter file area of the Files Control topic.

3. HTML.set and HTML.psb must reside in the same directory as

your currently selected Post Processor.

But when I go to setup sheet in MCX lathe it crashes every time.

What am I doing wrong?
