To transfer a machine/control def from another computer using zip2go what files are needed. Also what is the Mastercam.ft, Mastercam.mtb. There is a mcamx.config, is this the master config file? If I just use the .lmd and control and post will this bring in the machine/control def.

If all you want to do is move the MD and CD, then copy them from one folder to the other. No real need for Z2G.

 

If you want ALL settings to be transferred, then use Z2G.

 

I don't know exactly what Mastercam.ft does.

 

Mastercam.mtb contains toolbar data...customization, etc.

 

Mcamx.config is just like Mill9.cfg in V9. It contains all the data in Settings-Configuration.

 

.lmd is the extension for lathe machine definitions.

If I have a zip2go file I sent from my home computer and I want the MD and CD I need Control, lmd and Post , correct?

Yes. I'd say the major things are the machine definition, the control definition, and the post. Anything beyond that are "luxury items," such as custom toolbars, config settings to your liking, etc.
