Budget justifications for keeping X maintenance

I think by and large it makes sense. Staying current with your software has many hidden advantages. But if you NEVER import files, NEVER use anything more than conrour, pocket, or drill, then it probably does not make as much sense. But, one thing to consider also, does the cost of going on maintenance outweigh the cost of updating when the time comes? Plus there will be features ONLY available to Maintenance Customers. Don't want ot be left out do you? biggrin.gif

Considering the cost of maintenance for a seat of mill level 3 over 3 years. It would seem that by the end of 3 years when it probably came time to upgrade, the cost would be greater than the cost paid for the 3 yrs of maintenance, couple that with the new features along the way that get added on for maintenance customers and it just seems to me that it is a no-brainer.

After checking out that link, it would seem that MR1, which I was told was where they would roll out all the new toolpaths for X,

doesn't have much in the way of multiaxis toolpath enhancements. Are they waiting for when

5Axis becomes an option whose price is in addition to Maintenance before they make enhancements to multiaxis?
