X - T/Cplane (Not Saved)

In X I save front view (relative to WCS) with a name, say GSFRONT, then I go to the bottom of the screen and change T/Cplane to GSFRONT.

After this screen shows:

T/Cplane GSFRONT (Not Saved)

Why "Not Saved" when is saved?

Also in an operation, Parameters, Planes... , the check box "Display relative to WCS" when is checked the planes shown are not relative to WCS

Because you did not create a T/c plane on the front plane just a WCS. Try setting your WCS to GSfront and then click your t/c planes to top, that should orientate your planes to the correct orientation, you will now be drawing "on top" of the GSFRONT plane.

Your T/C planes should now stay relatve to your view

BTW, are you toolpathing or creating geometry?

  • 2 weeks later...

if you go by steps as

1) construction plane select flat/ 3 points / 2 lines etc

2)you have to check on the set new origine in order tosave the front/top existing view with other name.

3) then you do any work in other plane and select plane in bottom ribbon bar then select named views .

it may work ...see if this is what you want.

regards
