Solid edge curve

In some cases when I do a curve from a solid, the curve is not right. If I instead first make a surface from the solid and then do a curve from the surface edge, the result is correct. Anybode else seen this?

I would upload a sample to the ftp site, but for some reason I can't connect from my linux computer here at home. Is there someone I can mail it to?

Yep.. that looks like the result I get. If you look closely you can see that it is not exactly correct. If you make a surface from the solid and then make a curve from that surface it will be correct.

Do you see what I mean?

The problem seems to be reproducible. Whenever a cylinder is cut with a radius like this the same error occurs. Maybe it can be fixed with some tolerance setting? I'll check into it tomorrow. I often make parts that has this kind of features and sometimes I want to make a small chamfer on this edge. That's how I found this problem.

well after looking at your it was way off and mine looks preaty good.

But i do have a small blemish i want to look into.

I tried to load my inch configuration file and the result was the same as yours (!) I also tried to fiddle with some tolerance settings but I didn't get it any better. Very strange indeed.

I am with you. on this thought i think you should send it into CNC for them to look into.

but i did not try it in ver9 let me give this a try.
