drive and check surface stock

A new message for Mcam X occurs when I leave .0 stock on both the check and drive surfaces. The message: Drive and check stock is the same. For crisper blending adjust stock to + or -. Or something to that effect. So my question...

 

What settings do you all use to achieve the best results at these intersections?

 

I've never had problems leaving .0, but if there's a better way I'd like to try it.

depends on what I'm doing but sometimes I leave anywhere from .0005 to .002 on check surfaces to keep from hitting hard onto a wall or floor.

 

Polishers take care of it

I get the same message, and if that is what i intended to do, I just ignore the message.

Yes, I've noticed this too. I just change the 'stock to leave' setting on the check surface to .0005 and the message doesn't appear.

 

Like beej said, the difference wouldn't even be noticed after polishing.

Yep, we got a team. It looks to be a down year for the Hawks because our players are so young. They got a little basketball tutoring last night from a fine Arizona basketball team.
