I having an issue with the Ziptogo function in X.

I created a point at 0,0,0 and did a drilling tolpath.

Ziptogo this file.

Now if I open the Ziptogo file there is Now toolpath or geometry with file, the Machine def is there.

I have all boxes ticked to create the ziptogo file.

Thanks cheers.gifcheers.gif

David, how are you bringing that file back into mastercam? Are you doing it thru the Z2G utility itself?

I double click on the file in Windows explorer?

How do you open a ziptogo file using the utility?

In the Utility I select file, open select the .z2g file, now what? How do you make it open the file into Mastercam?

You need to extract the MCX file from the Z2G (which is a ZIP file, BTW).

Zip2Go – Command menu – Extract and select the folder to extract the file to.

Note that presently Zip2Go does not pay attention to the stored folder path.

You can manipulate Z2G files outside of X by using your favorite ZIP utility program.

Associate the .Z2G file extension to WinZip. Double click a .Z2G in Windows Explorer and the Z2G is loaded up into WinZip.
