Does anyone know the trick to getting tapered mills to display properly in Verify?

Tapered tools in Verify use the specified .MC8 file in the tool's Define Tool/ Parameters/ Tool file name. In this case the default Tapermil.mc8 is drawn with a 10 degree taper. Verify will show a 10 degree tapered tool regardless of what was entered as a taper angle. To show the proper tool, create the profile of the desired taper tool and save as a .MC8 file (preferably in the Tools subdirectory). Create a new tool and specify this file as the Tool file name. This has been enhanced for V8.1. You will see the tools profile dynamically adjust to the values entered. Backplot and Verify will display the correct tool shape.
