I know you're probably tired of hearing this, and I've probably spent more time screwing around with this than if I would have just done it manually, but here goes: I have several hundred programs I have to re-post for a vendor. In order to do this I have to switch the tool numbers from library numbers to sequential. I thought I could do this with buffers in the post, but I am making no progress, in fact I seem to be going backwards. The switching to sequential is not the problem. It's checking for duplicates so I don't give the same tool more than one tool number. I would appreciate any ideas or suggestions. Thanks

How about something like

t$ = 0

if t$ >= 0, t$ = t$ + 1

if t$ => 1, nexttool = t$ + 1

 

I don't have time to play with that now but off the top of my head seems to make some sense.

What vendor can even use several hundred programs all at once ? What I'm saying is, who talked you into this farflung adventure that you have to repost them all at once ? Talk to them and just fix the ones they need. Unless of course your here to find a quick solution to make some big bucks and then by all means good luck.

 

Oh yeah, who fixes all the setup sheets ?

Can you right click in Oper manager and "edit selected operations".I believe that there is a re-number tools in there.
