Hello everyone, this is my first post - I've been surfing through the posts for a few weeks and am happy to find a forum like this one, lots of good help. I have about 8 hours experience on version 10, and NO previous experience with Mastercam. I have two different .config files - one named 640T.config, and one named M32.config. I was told to add the name of the config file to the path of the desktop icon. So my path for one icon is "C:mcamxmastercam.exe 640t.config" this should load the 640t config file, right? This all sounds very reasonable to me - but it doesn't work! In the 640T config file settings I have selected 640T as the startup config file, and the default machine 640T but when mastercam is launched from the desktop icon, the default machine is some metric default. I've tried entering in the entire path to the config file, and I've tried adding quotes to the path. It just doesn't seem to work correctly. I am on SR1 MR1. Thanks!

I just did this on mine and it worked

code:

E:mcamxmastercam.exe "e:mcamxconfigdummy.CONFIG"

make sure there is a space between .exe "e:.....

Are your config files local or on a network?

How are you verifiying that the config is not taking?

How have you checked setting >> config and verified the config file?
