Integrex Sub Spindle

I have an application where I want to use the sub spindle on my Integrex 400-III S as a tailstock to hold my part to a mandrel on the main spindle. I am going to turn a center in the sub chuck and have a center drilled cap on the front of my part and I want to bring the sub spindle into position to put pressure for a five axis milling operation. The code I have from Mazak is this...

code:

G110 Z2

M508 (press mode on)

G98

G31

Z??? F5.

G111

M509 (press mode off)

M511 (spindle sync active)

M03

I saw some helpful code from here Transfer Code for Mazak Integrex

Could anyone elaborate on this? headscratch.gif

Thanks,

Shane

BTW - Can't reply til tomorrow 4-13.

Brett,

The snippit from above is from Mazak. We can define what it all means. It just looks like there is some code missing headscratch.gif . Just some clarity from anyone who has maybe been there done that is what I am looking for. We have tried to use Mazatrol to bring up the sub spindle but can't seem to make it work.

This is what I use for picking off a part, it can be used to do what you are asking also.
