  1. Can someone please cut and paste the necessary code to Rigid Tap with a live tool, off center in the face of the part? We have Mori Seiki Lathes, NL 2500's with MSX850 Controls. Thanks in advance.
  2. Im tasked with creating an IQ/OQ (installation qualification/operation qualification) template to be used when setting up our machines upon relocating our shop in a couple months. Does anybody have an example they have used in the past. We will also be required to validate all of our software including Mastercam to prove its reliability. Any help will be appreciated.
  3. Mazak Integrex 200 III SY G128 E1 When performing simultaneous 5 axis op. Must also use G43.4 H"tool offset number" to calculate tool tip control. The G43.4 H# will be on the first G0 XYZ line in the program. Example: if T025125.0001 then G43.4 H25. Note the 125 tool offset number in the tool call. You must use a different tool offset number than is used in the "H" callout or it will compound your tool length each time the tool is called. I recommend adding 100 to the number 25 to get 125 to keep it simple. Cancel with G49. Example: N10 (CHAMFER TOP WIRE GROOVE) G28 U0. Y0. G28 W0. M302 M200 T025125.0001 B20 G128 E1 G54 M250 M212 G0 B55.8512 C169.6669 M211 G97 S8127 M203 M248 G0 G18 X2.5284 Y.3137 Z-.8959 G43.4 H25 M8 G98 G1 X2.3628 Z-.952 F10. . . (PROGRAM REMOVED) . G0 X5.1137 Z.233 M9 G49 G28 U0. Y0. M205 G28 W0. M01 Hope this helps. Tim
  4. We bought out a company earlier this year and it came with all the software rights including mastercam. Although we did have to contact our reseller to transfer ownership. We had to send in the sim so they could transfer it to our nethasp. In another case this year, our shop was interested in some equipment at auction of a shop that went out of business. I contacted our reseller regarding the mcam seats. He informed me that we had to buy the company to legally transfer the mcam license. So at the very least I would contact your reseller so you can be fully informed before shelling out the cash for illegal software. I know it doesn't seem fair and that they should honor your license cause they are only going to profit from it if you keep up with upgrades. But it seems like the law is clear on transfer of software license's and they follow that to a T.
  5. I recently read the post NT vs. Multus; so I was wondering how the NT stacks up against the Integrex. I have thorough knowledge of the Integrex and zero with the Okuma. So I have only that to compare. We are thinking about buying an NT and would like some insight from those who have hands on with both machines. Also any comments on the post that Mastercam has developed for the NT, good, bad or ugly. Thanks
  6. I use cross cross contour toolpath under c-axis toolpaths. You can be in a top plane. Extend your geometry a little to clear your plunging endmill. Chain all six entities. Should work!
  7. Do you just want to add a variable to control depth, or length and width also?
  8. I treat 17-4 PH like 4140. 200/250sfm with carbide. 60/100sfm with hsco. I always use HSCO drills on 17-4 at 60sfm (1146rpm for .2 drill) with very good results. I dont like small carbide drills. We run unattended on most of our jobs. If we run carbide drills seems like the guys on the floor always add a M00 to check for broken drill which slows down the cycle.
  9. Yes, I can do it. But, it's not 100%, meaning that it hangs up at the M511 between the first turn and mill ops then runs fine for the rest of the program, switching between turning and milling a few times during the cycle. All code is identical but still hangs.
  10. We have two 200 Mark 3 ST Integrex's, 640 MT pro fusion controls. I only program in EIA using mastercam. I am trying to Mill with both C-axis spindles synchronized using M511. I works fine in Turn mode (M202) but hangs up at the M511 in Mill mode (M200). I have contacted Mazak, no help there. I really need to get this job moving, can one of you Integrex gurus send me some code (that is proven and works) that will enable me to turn a part between spindles trapped in a collet on each end. I have done it, but not from a production stand point safely. When I unsync (M512 M518) to touch off a tool etc. and then restart at the respective N block it just hangs at the M511, it does read the M511. Then from there (spindles still sync'd, light flashing) I can restart from the same N block as before and it will take off and run. But, I get an error 149 "syncronous at cycle start", But still runs. Does not make any sense. Any Help??? Please!!! TIA
  11. I would like an accurate example of an EIA program with various operations so I can modify a post to work for us. The guys are getting tired of programming in Mazatrol, its ok for simple parts but anything mildly complex would be better off going EIA. Thanks
  12. We have a new Mazak Nexus 200 with a 640T control
  13. I loaded MR1 overwriting the previous version, verses a side by side install. My holeaxis works fine, without doing a thing to import, copy migrate or whatever. I will not do a side by side install. All of our machines that we have done that on have numerous problems and crash frequently. A single version of X2 per machine works with almost no problems.
