default NC file name

right now, what do you guys do to get NC file name to default to the mastercam part file?

 

since its following the machine group name, can I change the machine group name default to follow the mastercam part file name with a slight modfification?

 

did a search but mostly returned with nothing...

The first thing I do with a new file is, in the Ops Manager, Files, Toolpath name, and set the directory and NC name for that Group. Now all toolpaths will be called what you just set in your Toolpath Name.

I need to do this everytime I start prtogramming toolpath, right?

Yes.

It sets where the NC file will be saved and it's NC name.

This will stick for all toolpaths within this Machine group.

Also when in Ops Manager,Files, Tool Settings set Program # and other info for this Machine group Like Seq tool numbers if needed and use tools step,peck,coolant, if you like.
