Does anybody else besides me think it'd be better to have the current Gview, WCS, and T/Cplane displayed on the status bar vs in the lower left corner of the graphics area?

 

After all, the status bar is supposed to be just that...

Maybe it's necessary for them to be in the graphics window to be printed with your part.

I may be mistaken but I thought at one point that some or all of that stuff was able to be toggled off? Am I thinking of ver. 6?

Settings, configuration, screen, there are check boxes on the right to toggle the viewport and wcs axes on/off.

I think Bob knows how to turn them on and off. He was just bringing up the point of why do they have to be in the graphics window on top of your geometry.

Where could they be (fit) "on the status bar"?

The status bar is configurable (you can add/remove and re-arrrange items) and you must have the status area (left side) on the status bar.

*And remember that all this must still be usable with a 1024x768 screen resolution. That fact is easy to forget when you're running on a 1920x1200 screen.

Yes, I know how to turn them on and off. Mainly what I don't like is them moving around when the graphics area is resized when opening and closing the operations manager. If they were displayed on the status bar, they'd be in the same place at all times.
