Rapid Moves

Is there anyway to get Mastercam to represent rapid moves of the Machine? Software moves in straight line to x y coordinates. Machine rapids the same IPM on both axis, which means it will travel at 45 deg until it reaches closest coordinate then continue in straight line to the other coordinate.

ahhh, no, not that I am aware of at least.

 

If you need to get around something, ie part of your set up, then you might want to use point tool paths to verify where your positions are actually going to be.

.... add to that, you can also use "Ref point..." to control where your tool starts or ends up at before/after the cut in X, Y and/or Z.
