  1. If some one sends me a solidworks drawing file (*.slddrw) I can't open it with diminsions without the model (*.sldprt) file
  2. Problem solved. I closed Mastercam then reopened it. Something must have gotten corrupted.
  3. This is in V9.1 MR0105. Imported part, it was orientated out in space. Used WCS to orientate part. I programmed my part and posted it. I need a mirrored part, so I saved with new name. Mirrored all geo except WCS geometry ( x0 y0 center of part). Contour toolpaths will not regen. I get Warning- the contour does not lie in construction plane. I did Screen – Next menu – Comb views, still does not work. Analyzed geometry and it was all at same Z level. I also squashed geometry to Z level and it still doesn’t work. It won’t even let me create a new contour toolpath without getting that error. Went back to the original file with clean toolpaths and if I regen a contour toolpath I get the error. How do I fix this? Thanks for your help.
  4. Could you show me an example of L-get or M-get? When selecting all on our Haas mill it will write separate files using the O#### when saving back to the disk. In Cimco you have to input a file name and all the programs will be stacked inside that one file. Thank you all for the help.
  5. I need to retrieve the programs from 18 machines, with some containing close to 100 programs. I hooked up an old pc that had v8 on it and using the Cimco edit 4.10.13. I can download one at a time just fine but if I try to download them all at once it puts them in one file. Does anyone know how to save all the files so they are separate files on the pc? Hopefully there's a setting to do this.

    Rapid Moves

Thank you for the replies. Does anyone know if there is a parameter setting on a Haas VF4 for dog leg rapids? Thanks again for the help.
  7. Is there anyway to get Mastercam to represent rapid moves of the Machine? Software moves in straight line to x y coordinates. Machine rapids the same IPM on both axis, which means it will travel at 45 deg until it reaches closest coordinate then continue in straight line to the other coordinate.
  8. thanks for the replies i will install sp2
  9. I'm running V9.1 sp1. Has anyone had problems not being able to copy geometry used in a solid to another level? I don't remember having this problem with earlier releases.
  10. Thanks kccadcam, Looks like what I'm after. Flow surface? If loft or ruled did you sync the 3 splines? Thanks for the help. BigE
  11. How can I create a surface that lies on selected points. File mmt.mc9 in mc9 folder on cadcam's FTP site. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  12. I'm from mold maker from Kansas. Have been using MC full time since V6.
