Version 9 backplot showed the tool starting at my clearance height and the appropriate rapid move down to the feed plane.

 

X always started near the feed plane. I assumed it was just a glitch that would be fixed in time.

 

Here we are in MR2 and my backplot is still behaving the same way.

 

Is this a setting / graphics problem ? or is that just how it works now ? or is it going to be fixed ?

 

I don't want to set the wrong tone here, either... MR2 installed easily and I am loving it so far... I just have this one concern.

In the backplot menu there is an icon (4th from left) to turn on rapid moves. This will show the tool starting at clearance height.

Exactly what I needed !

 

Sometimes I can't see the forest through all the trees.
