Different code before and after MR2 update...

Hi all.

Had to make some changes to a month old file (created with MR1) and noticed a bunch of differences in toolpaths which I didn't touch (locked).

Here is a sample:

Before MR2 update:

X-.8735Y-2.1R.2

X-1.1053Y-1.8331R.5079 <<<<

G2X-2.1903Y0.R2.091

After MR2 update:

X-.8735Y-2.1R.2

X-1.105Y-1.8333R.5079 <<<<<

G1X-1.1052Y-1.8331 <<<<<

G2X-2.1903Y0.R2.091

Notice two lines instead of one.

Analizing chains checks o'k, there're no duplicates and didn't mess with tolerances and posts.

It makes file compare fail because of thousands of changes like that when code shows a line between two tangent arcs where there is none confused.gif

Any help greatly appreciated.

Mark

Could it be related to this ?

From the "what's new" file...

quote:

2D Offset Improvements

We have incorporated a new 2D offset algorithm to improve reliability in several areas of the software. The new algorithm is used in virtually all 2D toolpaths (Mill, Lathe, Router and Wire). Other areas that will be affected by this change include:

· Stock boundaries in Lathe

· Analyze Contour

· Cross Hatching

· Offset Contour

· Solids

· Nesting

It's getting better mad.gif

Here is yesterday's code:

G2X-.5412Y2.725I.7019J-.2642Z-.3549

G1X-.5143Z-.355 <<<<<

X-.3976

X.3976

Today's code, no changes were made to this tool:

G2X-.5412Y2.725I.7019J-.2642Z-.3549

G1X-.3976

X.3976

This is ramping toolpath for a feedmill.

What gives?

Has anyone seen it before?
