ftp upload help

I have been trying to load a file to the ftp site according to the directions, and it doesn't seem to be working properly.

When I drag the file to the open ftp browser window, it asks if I want to save or open and will only let me save to my own pc.

it won't help in the long run, but if you email it to me, i will try to put it up.

I could do that, but I need your e-mail and I want to learn how to upload correctly.

im pretty sure you are doing it right. theres not much to it except what you already tried. it may be an issue of permissions on the file your'e trying to upload. you could also do a little test and try to upload something like an empty text file or something like that and see if it still gives the same message. but, whatever happens, you may need an administrator's help on your end.

 

you can use the email icon thats on each post to send me the file.

Open Windows Explorer. At the forum, click on the FTP link at the top of the page. Restore down each window so you can see both of them on the screen. Browse to the FTP folder that you want to upload to. In Windows Explorer, browse to the file that you want to upload in . Now, drag and drop from your folder to the FTP.

 

Does that work?
