End Of Block (post ?)

need to know how to affect "$" as EOB in a X post. currently reads EOB = 36. Interesting since every other line in post ends in $ of course.

that's what it reads now John but it doesn't work. I'm looking for an alternative or proper format of what's already there.

 

just tried it both ways- e$=36 and eob$=36,

still nothing.

Just messing with this quick, it looks like your going to have to go in and add 36 before every e$

 

Then you'll the $ output at the end of the line

but it looks like the e$ is simply telling the post that is the end of that line, move on to the next, you'll have to edit that character into the post

thanks John, I noticed also that I don't have a "pblock #A postblock". You think that would hose it up too? It did work before in V9 though..

Open your (global - disk copy of your) Control Definition. Go to the NC Output Control topic. Check the box next to 'Alternate EOB characters' and enter 36 in the box next to 'First altewrnate EOB character (ASCII value equivalent'. Save the CD. This will affect any future files created with this CD. You will need to reload the machine or modify the local copy in any existing file.

 

You can always look at the CD for the Dynapath that is included in the installation as this post outputs the $.

You can also use the control def to output the "$" as an alternate end of block character on the NC Output page.

 

I preferred to replace all of the , e$ with "$", e$ in the post so I didn't have to clean up the first and last lines.

thanks Paul, I would have never found that in a million years since I am still so used to editing the post to affect every little change. lesson learned- again.
