I just did that this morning, a surface high speed raster, and a surface rough pocket, and i had my containment to inside with .02 left, I had no problems, but i did notice if i tried to check additional offset, it would switch to total offset, and then go off the center of tool -.02

sorry its called add offset distance to tool radius, make sure there is no check in there, i just did this in a core roughing pass and the same thing happened to me with it checked, but unchecked it works fine. hope this helps.

It's been my experience with core-rough, the containment boundary does little to control the entry/exit point, but once it is cutting, it will maintain the containment boundry's integrity.

If you need to control the places where the entry/exit occurs i.e. off the part, your going to need to use a "dummy" surface. Or an alternitive method, which is more like the traditional surface/rough/pocket, is to use highspeed/area-clearance.
