  1. Has this problem been looked into and or fixed yet?
  2. Is Mastercam shipping yet or is everybody downloading of of the Mastercam site? I would like to wait to load off of a disk but have heard nothing from my reseller.
  3. Bruce, did you ever figure out what was wrong with this path? We are running into the same problem with it.
  4. Mayday, That is what the Mazak rep said. Just didn't know if I should beleave him or not.
  5. I know it has the eia/iso option. Does that mean I should be OK? Do they make a MPMaster post for lathes? I use it on our mills without any problems at all. My MC dealer is out of town all week.
  6. The company I work for is buying a Mazak slant turn 50 lathe, nothing fancy just two axis turning. my question is do I need a special post or will the Mazak read the standard fanuc based G-code? I will be using MCX. Thanks, Joe
  7. Thanks guys, putting a # in front took care of it.
  8. Ok, here is an easy one for you post guys. Useing a MPmaster post I want to go to z home position only at the end of the programe not the x and the y too.
  9. I noticed it last night. I ended up talking to my wife. Please don't let it happen again.
  10. The table capacity on the EC-1600 is 10,000 lbs. That is big enough to do any of the dies that we do. If we were looking at holding .0005 tolerances we too would probably look at the highr price machines. Most of tolerances are .005 or greater. So i ask, Why buy a Cadallac when a Impala will do the job you need it to do? I am not pushing Haas, but you have to look at the job you want it to do. I guess I better dig out my flame suit.
  11. Ocean Lacky, We also cut forging dies so I am very familiar with the material you are cutting (nasty stuff) We are using a Haas VF-8 and have not had any problems with it at all and are cutrently looking into a Haas EC-1600. We use Iscar fast feed mills for our heavy cutting but are looking at the Mitsubishi AJX. If you have any other questions just ask. Don't be so hard on a hydrotell Hardmill they can move a lot of material real fast.
  12. Your running Mcam9 and X and you are still using a printer port style hasp? I thought all version X hasps were USB.
  13. X-form, scale, pick the solid, and use the x,y,z, option. this lets you scale one axis at a time.
  14. Me too Marc, I hope I wake up this afternoon. thanks for trying to help.
  15. Thanks Mayday, worked great.
  16. I did a fresh install on a new computer and for some reason I don't have the flats button under my surface finish contour toolpath anymore. I have mill level 3 with maintenance and I downloaded the latest patch from Mastercams websight?
  17. Sorry Bullines just delete the topic I didn't think my question would go down this road.
  18. Iskander to me you are a fellow Mastercamer and I am thankfull for all of your help in this forum.
  19. Is the graphics area smaller in version X than in 9, or does it just look like it in the screen shots? Should I be asking my boss for a bigger screen for Christmas?
  20. Look under the same folder for powercat solid_joe is this what you are looking for. I used my cut depth limets.
  21. Try makeing your center hub .0005 bigger than it is. just create a new arc and rechain the geometry of that solid. solids like to overlape when you use boolean.
  22. Tom, look at the file joesteering2.mc9 in the same folder. is this what you want?
  23. Thanks guys, I have a few calls out to some dealers. No one will give me a base price, they all want to send out their salesmen. oh well if they want to waste a day just to give me a quote that's their problem.
  24. Thanks Hardmill I forgot about that one.
  25. Looking for info on any cnc lathes or cnc vtl's that can turn a part 32 dia ". What brand do you guys recommend.
