Lathe Material library

Hello,

I tried to set the speed and feed calculation in the job set up to use the material.

I would only get 0. so I looked at the material library and picked some materials, none of which are set up with a base SFPM or percent of chip load.

Has anyone else run into this problem?

Rory,

Congrats on Green Bay in the playoffs BTW. Check the location of the material library file by opening the Screen-Configure menu and selecting the Files tab to see where the tool and material libraries are located in your computer. Under File usage box to the right in the Files tab in Configure is a list of files. Material libraries should be in that list and when you highlight it, the file will be shown in the field under the list. A button to the right of the list will allow you to Browse to the correct location where the material and tool libraries are found. Typically they are in the C:Mcam8MillTools folder, even for Lathe. All of the materials in the default library should have base SFM and Feed values for that material. the base rates are adjustable and the percentage of the base rates for each oper. and tool is adjustable. Hope this helps. smile.gif
