i converted or opened the dwg file using file open autocad files.

the dxfrescuer chook converts dxf files.i dont know if there is a differance in the way it does the conversion compaced to the open autocad method.

DXFRescuer is used in those rare instances where a badly-formatted DXF file cannot be read by our standard File/Open. It's really a last resort, and can only import lines, arcs, notes, and not much more.

Suggestions re: the large drawing in Mastercam...

- change all line styles to a solid line

- change all line widths to the thinnest allowed

- you may see better graphics speed with OpenGL drawing turned off

- manually separate parts of the drawing onto different levels, if possible, and then only view what you want

- put the file on the computer rather than the server
