Solid drill depths

Hi yall

I'm trying to drill #80 vacuum holes into a bowl shaped mold using solid drill. All the holes are on different starting points on the face of the bowl. The vacuum holes I'm drilling into are at angles, so they're at different depths also. Spot plunging is no problem, but when drilling through the holes by using the bottom of the arc as a reference the drill is rapiding into the part unless I give it a LOT of clearance in the incremental retract.

My question is, is it possible to use the top of the solid arc as a reference for the retract setting while using the bottom of the arc for a breakthrough?

A breakthrough button that calculates the z depth necessary to drill through a solid hole while using the top of arc as a reference would be a really cool addition to solid drill...

Maybe it's there and I just don't know... headscratch.gif
