Mach2/ Mach3 post for mastercam

I am in search of CAD/CAM software and have decided to investigate Mastercams capabilities. I recently rebuilt a Techno router and configured it to run on Mach2/3 from Artofsoft. I am wondering if Mastercam has a post for this controller? Also, I have used Alphacam for other machines which I rebuilt, and the post modifications are fairly easy. Is it easy to modify Mastercam posts and are there any manuals on how to modify post in Mastercam?

I don't know if there is a post for that tpe of controller but if you were to contact a reseller I'm sure they could find out for you.

As far as modifying the post. Yes I find it relatively easy for most things. If you want to get fancy and you have questions, the guys in this forum are all very good at helping you get things done.

There is a MPmaster post free to down load from this site. you may want to take a look at that and judge for yourself what you think of the code. Any text editor should open the file be it notepad or word or PFE32. Whatever floats your boat really.

One of our educational dealers (red/cam) is using the Mach3 on their new machines. It's pretty generic G-Code. We have a post running that is currently been refined. When available, it should go up our Educational Archive here:

In the meanwhile and standard G-Code post like Mpfan or Mmpaster, or the Generic X ones should be close to fine.
