Backplot Undercut

I've programmed a slight undercut using finish contour (3-axis CNC with lollipop cutter). But when I backplot, the toolpath does not follow the undercut.

So I sent my MC9 file to a colleague at another company for help. He said that when viewed the backplot, it did follow the undercut. But just to be safe he reprogrammed (similar to my program) and verified the toolpath followed the undercut. He sent the file to me, but my backplot did not show the toolpath following the undercut.

I've searched the forums numerous times to verify I have the correct settings.

I've also verified that it's not a screen resolution or setting issue (by analyzing g-code and mastercam values). When either program is backplotted on my machine the toolpath does not follow the undercut. But it does on my colleague's machine?

What am I missing? Why can my colleague see the toolpath follow the undercut and I cannot.

We're both using 9.1 sp2.

Thanks

Chris

The only way I could ever get an undercut toolpath to work was by using a wireframe ruled toolpath and a lollipop cutter. And this will work on any version. I never had any problems with undercut toolpaths until after ver 6. I haven't tried any other kind of toolpath since I found out about the ruled toolpath long ago. If anyone has a suggestion for cutting an undercut toolpath, please help an old fart out.

many thanks

terry
