brain fart, how do you put text in the mi's

I cant remember how to type the text in the misc intergers?

I am assuming you mean the description of the misc integers? That is in the .txt file for the specific post you're using [this is for V9 and earlier, no experience with X].

Rick, they are at the bottom of your post in X, and will populate the control def when loaded.

 

Make sure you use the correct [section]. you'll have a section for all the controls this post has been used in - ie:[CTRL_MILL|MPMASTER] OR [CTRL_MILL|DEFAULT],OR [CTRL_MILL|GE2000] (AS BELOW)

If you do not it does not show up untril you load a new post into a file.

it has always been there, but now its not I am so confused. do you mean reload the post through the control def or from settings config?

file in your OP manager and replace, then repick your post.

In your post Rick change the name of your control def in the post to

 

[CTRL_MILL|MPMASTER_MAKINO_HORIZONTAL]

 

It's not picking it up because the contol def in the machine def is set to this name but the definition in the post lacks the Horizontal in the name, I just tried it and that was trick

BTW guys,

 

You can also open up the Text section of the Control Definintion Manager and right click in the data entry section. This brings up a menu with "import" options. Then you can use the import - sheet - from post option.
