Denford MicroRounter Compact

There's a problem for me when I try to use the Denford MicroRouter Compact machine to try and cut out a piece produced by Mastercam X. The 2D and 3D simulations from VR Milling Version 5 and it worked fine. When I tried to actually connect the computer to the machine, the control panel doesn't show up, while it should, so I can't home the machine or set the origin. Is there a problem between the connection between the computer and the CNC machine? Can I manually turn on the control panel?

Thanks in advance.

I had a Denford mill and lathe. Software and control always a problem. Customer support was unreliable and the did not fix problems as promised. I finally gave up donated the machine that cost $$$$$$ and got something that worked. My experience with Denford was very disapointing, I often felt like I was talking to someone working part-time out of their garage that couldn't care less about customer service and future sales. The original idea/discussion was to purchase 12 mills/lathes. You would have thought they would do anything to insure that the 2 we purchased to test worked properly..... banghead.gif

Hao,

Sounds like your microrouter's mint is not loading. You may want to check with Denford to see if they can give you a copy of the mint manager software so that you can reload the mint.

Denford Tech support:

Brad Carver (may not still be there, it's been two years)

(330) 725-3497

He's in Ohio at the US denford loc.

Back in my day with Denford, VR milling was not the greatest way to do it, but that's all Denford supports at the moment.

Hope that helps.
