rotating named views/planes

I started out with a 2D Contour toolpath using a named view/plane, then had to rotate the geometry slightly. How do you rotate named views/planes to follow the geometry?

My first attempt was to rotate the geometry, then re-create the named planes using that geometry, but it didn't work. In other words when in the new named view and selecting Z points on that geometry, they are not all the same Z.

I've done this before in v9, but don't know what I'm doing wrong here. There's got to be a simple way. Please help! confused.gif

Create your WCS, make sure that Associative box is checked. You might have to create some dummy geometry to create you WCS. Then rotate all of the geometry to where it is needed.

From MC help.

Associative

Select this option to link the view and its underlying geometry so that when you change or move the geometry or the origin point, the view definition is updated automatically. Any such updates will be carried through to the Cplane/Tplane/Gview/WCS if they are aligned with that view.
