Solid Drilling Version 9

Has anybody played around with the solid drilling in mastercam 9. We had a demo of it when it was in the beta version and it looked very good. Would like to hear opinions before we upgrade.

Have I cut any thing using this yet NO.

 

But I might be able to answer some thoughts.

I guess what I'm looking for is that our engineers would be sending out parasolid files for our jobs. They are looking for something somewhat automated. An example would be seeing a .4218 hole and have the software know it needs to centerdrill, drill, chamfer and tap this hole, or see a counterbored hole and do it completely, (drill, chamfer, & c-bore).
