remachining rough surface pocket

can someone tell me how to remachine a pocket after using surface rough pocket.i am using a 1-1/4 in bull nose and want to go down to a 1/2 ball nose.The problem im having is i need to remachine with depth cuts so i dont bury the smaller cutter and break it.Using surface finish leftover takes the 1/2 to the final depth.

Use surface/rough/contour.And check the box

"rest mill" in the "rough contour parameter" with the proper parameter .

A bit more info on this,

 

In V9, the Restmill toolpath has been placed in the series of Surface Rough Toolpaths available. One sure way to view this is to compare the Restmill toolpath in roughing to the Leftover toolpath in Finishing.
